Lage Raho Munnabhai Rocks!

This is the most delightful movie I have seen in a while! After all the emotional melodramas and action throughout the summer, it felt great to sit for 3 hours with a smile on your face all the while, and a few laughs here and there. The comedy works, the casting works, the songs work, the script works ... Go watch it already!

*drool*

These guys had their fans too!

PS. Hard to believe, but someone attended the movie just because of Sanjay Dutt.

PS2. To those guys who took their dates to see Crank, what the hell were you thinking?

PS2. Did anyone catch the trailor (and the song Ye Mera Dil) of Don? Kareena sizzles!

This movie works on so many levels. It also provides as a great counterpart to the mindless rubbish and violence perpetrated as solutions in Rang De Basanti.

Thanks, Mezba, for taking the time to read my post. I agree with you on #6 of “Marriage: To Do or Not to Do. That is the question. PART 2.” I love all of your postings on the blog. How did you first get started on it? One thing never ceases to amaze me; you have a really unique way of arresting the reader's attention with your language and storytelling. You really should try to get some of your work published for a “desi” magazine or write editorials for a newspaper. You’re really that good! ;)

Oh, before, I forget; I know you wanted anonymity with the change of your blog name. But it is sort of a good thing that your identity as “Mezba” did not change with the change of the blog’s name, courtesy of the url address; otherwise, I would have had an even tougher time of finding your blog than I actually did following the period in which I had no time to read it this summer (for the most part) and then thought to start again.

Munna Bhai ... MMBS .. haha .. the movie is really funny ... I enjoyed watching it .. waiting for part 2. When is it coming out?

Farah: I so agree. RDB was crap supreme.

Koutuk: She has a certain classical feminine charm, don't you think?

Ek Umeed: Thanks for the comments. I was thinking of writing a collection of short stories, in collaboration with a few other writers. Now looking for publishers and the like.

Nabeel: lol.. Lage Raho Munnabhai is the sequel to Munnabhai MBBS. However, it's not a proper sequel, only the characters Munna and Circuit remain the same, the story is not a continuation. It works great.

Its been a good while since i've seen an indian film. but please tell me sanjay dutt was playing the father of the hero. NOT THE HERO? Dude he is way too old to be doing this.

mezba said...

No Aisha, Sanjay was the hero!

I dont know who that lady is, but she gets my vote.

I have always thought Indian, Pakistani and Bengali women were good looking.

Abu Sinan: No argument there.

Someone came to my site through this link. Dont know how that happened.. but it drew my attention due to the title. MUNABHAI. YOU LIKED IT? Is this munha bhai two???? Because TWO SUCKED. I dont watch indian movies though so i'm curious if its #2 you enjoyed since everyone who loves indian movies loved this movie but i hated it and me and all of us cried our eyes out from boredom...... Dont get me wrong I do love some, like Dil Se, and stuff but this one in particular was horrid. Please tell me what was the draw?????

AISHA!!!!

Yes this was Munna bhai 2. Sanjay Dutt and Circuit befriending Mahatma Gandhi. What's not to like about this movie? :-P It had great acting, story, music, and not to mention, Vidya Balan. EVERY one I know liked it.

Aisha, Aisha.... *shakes head*

PS. you still rock though.
